Dear Friends and Supporters,

As with many organizations, your Swormville Volunteer Fire Company finds it harder and harder to meet our obligations due to rising costs.  We are deeply committed to and continue to support our mission to provide fire protection, protect life, protect property and render services in case of accidents, calamities or other emergencies in connection with which the services of firefighters may be required in the principle areas for which we are committed in the towns of Clarence and Amherst.  We also support other Fire Companies in their efforts should the situation dictate under the auspices of the Mutual Aid System.  We support this undertaking due to love of country, good citizenship, civic virtue and self sacrifice.  We perpetuate the spirit originating from the earliest days of volunteer firefighting services.  We do this without hope of fee or personal reward.  We respond to your needs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days each year.  You have probably seen us in times of other’s needs.  You know you can count on us anytime you may need our assistance. 

The 1st Annual Big Bucks Raffle is being held on 30 May 2009 at the Clarence Town Park Main Pavilion located at 10405 Main Street , Clarence , NY .  The raffle is hosted by the Swormville Volunteer Fire Company to show our appreciation for your support.  Festivities begin at 4:00 p.m. and will include food, prizes, and fun.  Each ‘Big Bucks 1st Annual Special Raffle’ ticket holder and a guest will receive free dinner and refreshments.  Additional meal and refreshment tickets are $10.00 and will be available at the door.  You are welcome and encouraged to attend; however, winners need not be present at the 1st Annual Big Bucks Raffle to receive their prize.

When thinking about your donation, think about giving a ticket for a birthday, anniversary, or any other special occasion.  Your Swormville Volunteer Fire Company thanks you in advance for your participation.  Please submit your request as early as possible as we are hoping for a sell out.

2. No more than 400 tickets will be sold. If less than 400 tickets are sold, prizes equal to 70% of the net income will be awarded.

3. Use one application for each ticket to be purchased. Enclose application with your donation to Swormville Fire Company, Attention: Raffle Chairman, 6971 Transit Road, East Amherst, NY 14051. A copy of the application is acceptable.

4. Tickets will be mailed promptly to the person in charge of the ticket.

5. Winners need not be present at the Raffle to receive their prize.

6. Odds are approximately 1 in 40 to win a great prize. Odds of having a good time and supporting the volunteer fire service - 100%! Thank you for your support and attendance.

7. Donation is $100.00 per ticket.
